Launch on schedule.
With the stock to match.
A scheduled launch is the moment inventory work shows up: counts that need to match the shelf, low stock to catch early, and the next order to place.
Launch Scheduler handles the go-live. Alfred Purchase Orders handles the stock around it.
01 · Before go-live
Email alerts at the stock levels you set
Set low-stock thresholds and reorder points for a product, a location, or the whole store. Alfred checks stock on the schedule you choose and emails you when something falls below the level you set, so the products that need attention are on your list before go-live, not after.
- Low-stock and reorder-point alerts, sent by email
- Scope each alert to a SKU, a location, or the store
- Daily to monthly, at the frequency you pick
02 · A day or more before go-live
Get Shopify's counts to match what's on the shelf
The numbers your storefront sells against are only as good as the counts behind them. Receive what's arrived, move stock to where it ships from, and count what's on hand — every change is written back to Shopify.
- Receive purchase orders by scanning barcodes, with per-line issues logged
- Transfer stock between locations, tracked from draft to received
- Run stocktakes and adjustments so on-hand in Shopify matches the shelf
03 · Just after go-live
See which products are on track to run out, and when
Once orders start coming in, Alfred projects stock forward from recent sales, current on-hand, and inbound purchase orders. Products on track to stock out are called out with when they're expected to run out, so you can decide what to reorder while there's still time to act.
- Stockout forecasting from recent sales velocity
- Inbound POs counted, so stock already on the way isn't double-ordered
- Forecast windows from 7 to 90 days
04 · Planning the next restock
Draft the next order, sized to each supplier
The purchase planner drafts purchase orders by supplier, with quantities rounded to each supplier's minimum order quantities and pack sizes and timed against their lead times. Review the numbers, then send the PO to your supplier, who can confirm it or propose changes from the supplier portal.
- POs drafted by supplier, respecting MOQs and pack sizes
- Lead times factored into what to order and when
- Send to suppliers by email; they confirm or propose changes online
Checklist
Launch inventory checklist
A plain list to work through for any launch. Use it with any tools you like.
Before go-live
- Receive any purchase orders that have already arrived, so that stock counts as available.
- Count the products you plan to feature and correct any differences with an adjustment.
- If stock is sitting at a location that doesn't fulfill online orders, transfer it.
- Set low-stock alerts or reorder points on best sellers and anything you're featuring.
- Check open POs and supplier lead times, so you know how soon more stock could arrive.
Launch week
- Confirm every action and time in Launch Scheduler, and who receives the completion email.
- Decide ahead of time what happens if a product sells out: keep selling, show it as sold out, or move it to draft.
- Read low-stock alert emails as they arrive and act on them the same day.
After launch
- After a few days of sales, review which products are on track to run out.
- Draft restock POs with the purchase planner and send them to suppliers.
- Spot-count the products that sold most to catch any count drift early.
- If any change was temporary, schedule the change back in Launch Scheduler.

Our story
Built by a merchant, for merchants
Alfred started inside Capy, a scrub cap brand that grew from zero to a seven-figure annualized run rate in under two years. Its founder spent hours every week in spreadsheets working out what to reorder, when, and how much, so he built the inventory tool he wished he'd had. The same small team builds Launch Scheduler.
